License Agreement

This License Agreement ("Agreement") is between you ("User") and TabsVault ("Licensor") for the use of the TabsVault browser extension and related services ("Software").

1. Grant of License

Free License

TabsVault grants you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Install and use the browser extension on your personal devices
  • Save and restore browser sessions locally
  • Use basic features as described in the free tier

Premium License

Upon payment of applicable fees, you are granted additional rights to:

  • Access premium features including cloud sync
  • Store sessions on our cloud infrastructure
  • Use advanced organization and sharing features
  • Receive priority support

2. Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the Software
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices
  • Use the Software for illegal purposes
  • Sublicense, rent, or lease the Software
  • Use the Software to build a competing product

3. Intellectual Property

The Software, including all code, design, graphics, and documentation, is the intellectual property of TabsVault and is protected by copyright laws.

This license does not grant you any rights to our trademarks, service marks, or logos.

4. User Data

You retain all rights to your session data. The license grants us only the rights necessary to provide the Service, including:

  • Storing your data on our servers (for cloud sync)
  • Processing your data to provide features
  • Creating backups for disaster recovery

5. Updates

TabsVault may provide updates to the Software from time to time. Updates may be automatic and are subject to this Agreement. We are not obligated to provide updates or new features.

6. Support

Support is provided as described in your subscription tier:

  • Free: Community support via documentation
  • Plus: Email support with 24-hour response time
  • Pro: Priority support with 4-hour response time

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL TABSVAULT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE.

9. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any term of this Agreement. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Software ceases immediately
  • You must uninstall and destroy all copies
  • We may delete your cloud data after a grace period

10. Export Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export laws and regulations. You may not use or export the Software in violation of any applicable laws.

11. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

12. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and TabsVault regarding the Software and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.
